The tore ligament is healed. Took a few weeks of some more low intensity swimming.
I was in Sweden last week and managed to got several training sessions in. A few sessions in the pool and also my standard hotel-gym-brick-workout. The gym opens at 6am and I’m the first one there, and usually the only one for that matter. I typically start with some significant time on the bike trainer and end with some time on the treadmill also. Got 3 of these sessions in last week.
However I have been having some trouble in my right knee. I can run fine for about 15-20 minutes and then I get a really sharp pain in the back of the knee. Not really sure what it is. So i biked and then I ran until i just started feeling the pain and then I stopped.
So today I went out for a run for the first time since Friday and I havent had any problems with the knee. I made it about 2 miles and then got a sharp pain again and had to walk the 2 miles back home.
So I need to get to the bottom of this. I suspect it’s related to the hamstring as the pain is basically on the back of the knee. I am thinking about just completely refrain from running for a while and stick to musch more swimming and then some biking when possible. This coupled with a lot of stretching, every day, even when not working out.
