I’ve been in Sweden all of this week. The trip here resulted in a 4 day break from training. Not optimal because I have a race coming up in two days. However I did manage to get a few workouts in during the week.
I am really looking forward to the race this coming Sunday. I don’t really feel as prepared for this type of race as I could be. I have re-focused some of the training after the IronMan with emphasis on speed. however I have also decided to train when I want to and not because I have to. That has certainly resulted in less training.
I am not worried about finishing the race. It’s “only” and olympic distance race after all. However, it would be great to get a time around 2h40min or so. I think thats doable with my current fitness.
I am mostly planning to have lots of fun and I am hoping the weather will be ok so that lots of people come out to watch the race and that triathlon in Sweden gets even more attention.
Now off to pick up the race package.
