After training endurance and going long for a while I am now switching to focus on speed. The target is the Olympic distance triathlon in Stockholm at the end of August. In order to get a half decent time for his race I defiantly need to get faster. At least faster tan IonMan pace.
So right now I’m doing shorter and faster runs. I have a 4 mile somewhat hilly route that I loop frequently. I’ve also started pushing harder to get some speed in the legs on he bike. That combined with some serious hill rides.
Did my longest bid ride since the IM today, 26 miles. Crazy windy but managed to keep the speed up. It’s strange that this would now basically be considered my long bike ride.
Will be traveling tomorrow and therefore take a rest day. I am however looking forward to running in Central Park in New York on Wednesday morning.
